Storage Tank Removal / Management

Underground and above ground storage tanks (USTs and ASTs) are among the most common environmental issues at commercial and industrial sites. Many facilities are not in compliance with current regulations or are following poor management practices.  Since inception, Terrapex has been involved in fuel storage tank system audits, upgrades, training, decommissioning, and remediation of releases and has developed considerable expertise in this area.

Terrapex can conduct an audit of a tank installation in accordance with provincial and federal standards and regulations and including recommendations for repairs and upgrades to equipment.   We can develop and present training programs for staff who use and maintain storage tanks including schedules for inspection and maintenance. 

Terrapex has supervised the decommissioning of storage tanks for fuels, oils and solvents.  We can provide engineering services to develop the scope of work, prepare technical specifications if required, and supervise the execution of the contract.  Alternatively, we can undertake the whole project on a turn-key basis on behalf of the client.  If remediation of contaminated soil and/or groundwater is required, Terrapex is experienced in both in situ and ex situ remediation.
